Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 7 July 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between Watch Chamber Group Limited, a company registered in England & Wales ("Watch Chamber", "we", "our", "us"), and every person or business that accesses or uses the website at watchchamber.co.uk and any related services (together the "Platform"). By creating an account, listing a watch, placing a bid, subscribing to the Members Club, or otherwise using the Platform you confirm that you accept these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Cookie Policy, our Marketplace Disclaimer and our Acceptable Use Policy.

1. Definitions

  • Buyer — any person browsing, enquiring on, bidding on or purchasing a Listing.
  • Seller — a Private Seller or Dealer listing a watch on the Platform.
  • Private Seller — an individual selling their own personal timepieces.
  • Dealer — a UK business trading in luxury watches that has completed dealer onboarding.
  • Listing — a fixed-price or auction advertisement for a watch published on the Platform.
  • Members Club — the paid monthly subscription described in the Members Club Terms.
  • Stripe — Stripe Payments Europe Ltd, our payment processor for Listing fees and Members Club subscriptions.
  • Transaction — any sale, purchase, exchange, or attempted sale of a watch between users.

2. Nature of the Platform

Watch Chamber is an advertising marketplace only. Watch Chamber is not the seller, buyer, agent, broker, auctioneer, escrow provider or authenticator of any watch. We do not process payments for Transactions, hold customer funds, take custody of watches, inspect, appraise or authenticate watches, and we are not a party to any Transaction. All Transactions are entered into directly between Buyer and Seller. The only payments made to Watch Chamber are Listing fees and Members Club subscriptions. Full detail is set out in the Marketplace Disclaimer.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under the laws of England & Wales. Dealer accounts must be operated by a UK-registered business or sole trader. You may not use the Platform if you are subject to sanctions or have previously been banned by Watch Chamber.

4. User Accounts

You must register with accurate, current information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately at info@watchchamber.co.uk of any unauthorised use. We may refuse, suspend or close any account at our discretion in accordance with the Account Suspension & Appeals Policy.

5. Private Sellers

Private Sellers may list personal timepieces they own outright and have legal title to. Private Sellers must comply with all applicable consumer, tax and reporting obligations, the Seller Rules & Standards and the Acceptable Use Policy. Private Sellers who trade at scale may be required to convert to a Dealer account.

6. Dealers

Dealers must operate a legitimate UK watch business, submit accurate business information, and pass onboarding checks. Dealers accept additional consumer-facing obligations under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and other applicable legislation, and remain solely responsible for compliance with those obligations.

7. Dealer Verification

A "Verified Dealer" badge indicates that Watch Chamber has completed identity and business checks in accordance with the Dealer Verification Policy. Verification is an identity and business-legitimacy check only. It is not an endorsement, financial guarantee, or warranty of authenticity, condition, service, or future conduct.

8. Listings

Sellers must submit Listings that are truthful, accurate, not misleading, and comply with the Seller Rules & Standards and the Counterfeit & Illegal Goods Policy. Watch Chamber may edit, delay, or remove Listings that breach these Terms or that we consider harmful to Buyers, without liability to the Seller.

9. Auctions

Auctions are conducted directly between Buyer and Seller. Watch Chamber is not an auctioneer. Bids placed on the Platform are commitments to purchase from the Seller at the bid price if you are the winning bidder, subject to any reserve. Retracting bids, sniping through automation, shill-bidding, or manipulating auctions is prohibited under the Acceptable Use Policy. Anti-sniping extensions may apply. Winning a bid creates a Transaction obligation between Buyer and Seller — not with Watch Chamber.

10. Listing Fees

  • Private Seller — Fixed-price: £29.99 per Listing
  • Private Seller — Auction: £39.99 per Listing
  • Dealer — Fixed-price: £19.99 per Listing
  • Dealer — Auction: £29.99 per Listing

Fees are inclusive of VAT where applicable and are paid via Stripe. Fees purchase the advertising slot only and are non-refundable once a Listing is live except as set out in the Refund Policy.

11. Members Club

The Watch Chamber Members Club is a paid subscription of £99.99 per month including unlimited Listings and additional benefits. Full terms, including renewal, cancellation, failed payments and consumer rights, are set out in the Members Club Terms.

12. Payments & Stripe

All payments to Watch Chamber (Listing fees and Members Club subscriptions) are processed by Stripe. Watch Chamber does not store full card details. Watch Chamber does not process, hold, escrow or route Transaction payments between Buyers and Sellers under any circumstances. Refund handling is set out in the Refund Policy.

13. Buyer Responsibilities

Buyers must conduct their own due diligence before committing to any Transaction, including verifying seller identity, requesting evidence of provenance, arranging independent authentication, inspecting the watch (in person where practical), and using a secure payment method. Guidance is provided in the Buyer Safety Guide. Watch Chamber gives no warranty as to the watches offered, the Sellers, or the outcome of any Transaction.

14. Seller Responsibilities

Sellers are solely responsible for their Listings, the accuracy of descriptions and photographs, legal title, authenticity, communication with Buyers, packaging, shipping, insurance, aftersales, refunds and consumer-law compliance. See the Seller Rules & Standards.

15. Intellectual Property

All Watch Chamber branding, code, design, and content is owned by or licensed to Watch Chamber Ltd. By posting Listing content you grant Watch Chamber a worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, display, reproduce and promote that content on the Platform and in our marketing. Full detail is set out in the Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy.

16. Prohibited Conduct

The Acceptable Use Policy is incorporated into these Terms. Breaches may result in Listing removal, suspension, permanent ban and — where appropriate — referral to law enforcement.

17. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Platform under the Account Suspension & Appeals Policy. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of Listing fees or paid subscription periods except as set out in the Refund Policy.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) Watch Chamber's total aggregate liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the total fees paid by you to Watch Chamber (Listing fees and subscriptions) in that period; (b) Watch Chamber is not liable for any loss arising from a Transaction between users, including watch authenticity, condition, title, non-delivery, non-payment, damage in transit or fraud committed by another user; (c) Watch Chamber is not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or economic loss. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

19. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Watch Chamber harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) brought by any third party arising from your Listings, your Transactions, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of any law or third-party right.

20. Force Majeure

Watch Chamber is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events outside our reasonable control, including outages of Stripe, our hosting or email providers, industrial action, government action, cyber-attack, or acts of God.

21. Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or on-Platform notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after that date constitutes acceptance.

22. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. The courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, save that consumers may bring claims in their country of habitual residence where required by law.
