Dealer Verification Policy

This Policy explains what Watch Chamber's Verified Dealer badge means and — importantly — what it does not mean. It should be read with the Terms & Conditions, the Marketplace Disclaimer and the Buyer Safety Guide.

1. What verification checks

• Identity — of the individual(s) responsible for the Dealer account.
• Business legitimacy — Companies House / equivalent registration, registered address, VAT status where applicable.
• Trading information — trading name, contact details, website (if any), stated area of specialism.
• Basic sanctions and fraud screening — against publicly available lists.

2. What verification does NOT guarantee

• The authenticity of any watch listed by the Dealer.
• The condition, provenance, service history or quality of any watch.
• The Dealer's financial stability or ability to fulfil any Transaction.
• The Dealer's future conduct, including delivery times, communication, or aftersales.
• Compliance with the Dealer's own consumer-law and warranty obligations.

3. Not an endorsement

Verification is a factual check, not an endorsement, recommendation, guarantee, or warranty by Watch Chamber. Buyers must still complete their own due diligence — see the Buyer Safety Guide.

4. Ongoing checks

Verification is reassessed periodically and where we receive information suggesting a change. Dealers must promptly notify Watch Chamber of changes to registered details, ownership or trading status.

5. Suspension or removal of verification

The Verified badge may be paused or removed where a Dealer breaches the Terms & Conditions, the Seller Rules & Standards, the Acceptable Use Policy, the Counterfeit & Illegal Goods Policy or is subject to open investigation. See the Account Suspension & Appeals Policy.
