Counterfeit & Illegal Goods Policy

Last updated: 7 July 2026

Watch Chamber operates a zero-tolerance policy on counterfeit and illegal goods. This Policy sits alongside the Terms & Conditions, Acceptable Use Policy, Seller Rules & Standards and Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy.

1. Strictly prohibited

  • Counterfeit watches — items bearing another brand's marks that are not manufactured or authorised by that brand.
  • Replica or "super clone" watches — regardless of disclosure or price.
  • "Homage" watches marketed as genuine — any listing that implies a watch is something it is not.
  • Franken / undisclosed non-original parts presented as fully original.
  • Stolen property — including watches without lawful title, watches under lien or dispute, and watches with tampered serials.
  • Fraudulent listings — including doctored photographs, forged papers, false provenance, or false Dealer credentials.
  • Sanctioned or illegal items — including items whose sale would breach UK sanctions, export controls, ivory / CITES rules, or other applicable law.

2. Detection

We combine automated screening, moderator review, user reports, and cooperation with rights-holders and law enforcement.

3. Enforcement

Where a Listing is suspected of breaching this Policy we may (without prior notice):

  • remove or delist the Listing;
  • suspend or terminate the account under the Account Suspension & Appeals Policy;
  • withhold and refuse refunds for Listing fees or Members Club subscriptions;
  • report the account to affected rights-holders, Trading Standards, the Police, or other authorities;
  • preserve and disclose account, listing, communication and payment metadata to lawful investigations.

4. Reporting

Report suspected counterfeit or illegal listings to info@watchchamber.co.uk. Rights-holder notices should be sent to info@watchchamber.co.uk in accordance with the Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy.

5. Buyer remedies

Because Watch Chamber does not process Transaction payments (see the Marketplace Disclaimer), Buyers who have paid for a suspected counterfeit or stolen watch must pursue their remedy against the Seller and, where appropriate, their payment provider, and should report to the Police (Action Fraud in the UK).
